Rent Party is a improvised music and stand up show that’s about as much fun as you can fit into one place. Yedoye Travis, Farah Brook and the backing band, The Original Lineup, invite New York’s best comedians to tell jokes and stories set to some of the best music in the city.

Myq Kaplan
Myq Kaplan is a comedian named Myq Kaplan (pronounced “Mike”). He is a 2010 Last Comic Standing Finalist and has appeared on the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, the Late Show with David Letterman, Comedy Central Presents, and all the other places he’s been. You can listen to Myq’s podcast, Hang Out With Me, on the Keith and The Girl network. His debut CD, Vegan Mind Meld, was one of iTunes’ top ten best-selling comedy albums in 2010, followed by Meat Robot in 2013 and his one-hour Netflix special Small Dork and Handsome in 2014. The Comedians magazine calls him “a comedy machine, in the best possible way. the way that some machines vend soda or prevent other machines from killing future revolutionaries – that’s how Myq Kaplan does comedy: relentlessly, methodically, unblinkingly.”

Nat Towsen is a comedian, writer, and actor. He hosts the monthly local-culture talk show Nat Towsen's Downtown Variety Hour at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre East Village. He is a writer for VICE and CollegeHumor. Nat has been called a "comedic genius" by a Time Out New York, a "polymath comedian" by The A.V. Club, and a "bright young man" by Bill Gates. He lives in Brooklyn, New York with his girlfriend, Alyssa, and their two cats, Nutmeg and Foggy.

Rae Sanni
Rae Sanni is a comedian and writer from Brooklyn, NY who has been bringing her unique perspective on everything from pop culture to race and gender relations to audiences all over. Rae co-hosts the Three A-Negroes podcast, and has been seen in the Huffington Post, Buzzfeed and in Complex Magazine. You can find Rae on Twitter @Raesanni, where she muses on her love for cheddar cheese, NBA players, and being a black person.

Dan co-created and wrote an animated series, "That's My Bus!", that won 1st place at the 2015 Montreal Just For Laughs Festival's Set To Screen Contest. Dan writes for Sirius XM's Bennington and has worked as comedy contributor for Neil deGrasse Tyson's StarTalk Radio.

Hello, my name is Sean Patton. I’m a comedian based in Los Angeles and New York, by way of New Orleans. I began doing stand-up in the Crescent City and have since performed in comedy clubs across the US and Canada. I’ve performed at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, JFL Chicago, JFL Toronto, JFL Montreal (2008, 2010, 2012, 2016), Moontower Festival, RIOT LA, High Plains, Nashville Comedy Festival and will premiere my show NUMBER ONE this year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. I’ve performed on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Conan (2011, 2013) and my Comedy Central Half Hour was released in 2013. Additionally, I’ve appeared on @midnight (2014, 2015), The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, This Is Not Happening (2015,2016,2017), What’s Your F@#king Deal?! and Viceland’s Flophouse and Party Legends. On screen, I have appeared on IFC's Maron, Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer and TruTV’s Those Who Can’t.

Farah Brook hopes to heal you through the art form of stand up comedy. She is a recurring guest on FOX's Red Eye w/ Tom Shillue and performs every night at major venues across New York City. Farah’s YouTube video "Kiss Me NYC" went viral in April and has been viewed almost 5 million times by people all over the world. Her videos have been featured in The Huffington Post, Time Magazine, People Magazine, MTV and more. Farah is the co-creator and star of the hit web series Very Successful Web Series premiering at NYC Web Fest. She also co-created the series Prism Horizons alongside comedy brother Blair Socci. Her writing can be found published on Reductress and Someecards. Farah was named "Comic to Watch: 2016" on her own blog, and feels at this point in her life she might be ready for a robe.
