Literati: A Comedy Show About the Greatest American Novels Never Written
Literati is a night of comedians in character performing hilarious readings. Sophisticated, satirical, and sometimes wigs. Do you ever leave a comedy show saying "Hmm that was pretty funny but not enough reading.." Well then this is the show for you!

And your hosts Colin O'Brien and Michael Wolf love to read! They've read upwards of one books between the two of them and now they want to share that love of literature with you!

Tim Platt
Tim Platt is a comedian and performance artist living in Brooklyn, NY. His work has been seen at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, La Mama Experimental Theater, Union Hall, The Annoyance Theater, The Kennedy Center, The Invisible Dog, The Incubator Arts Project, The Magnet Theater, The People’s Improv Theater, Dixon Place, The CATCH Performance Series, Fresh Ground Pepper, the Silent Barn, and many other venues. Tim has trained in long form improvisation at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, The Second City, The Magnet Theater, and with Oberlin College’s Sunshine Scouts. Along with doing stand up all over the city, Tim performs improv at UCB’s Lloyd night with Southpaw. As Puppet the Puppet, he co-hosts the monthly variety show Cartoon Monsoon at The Annoyance Theater. Tim partners with Mo Fry Pasic in PASIC AND PLATT, a comedy duo that puts up shows and performs "scenes with microphones." He is proud to be an actor, director and teaching artist for The Story Pirates.
Monique Moses
Monique Moses
Monique Moses is a Canadian born, Brooklyn based, actor, improvisor, and choreographer. She can be seen performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre as well as many other theaters all over New York City, and awesome festivals like the Stumptown Improv Fest (Portland) the Toronto Fringe Fest, DCM, NCAAF and the Charleston Comedy Fest.
Jerah Milligan
Jerah Milligan
Jerah Milligan is an actor, comedian, improviser, and producer living in NYC. He's studied at UCB since 2011 and has had the pleasure of learning from great teachers: Ben Rameaka, Achilles Stamatelaky, Chelsea Clarke, Ryan Karels, Anthony Atamanuik, Laura Grey, and Amey Goerich. He has performed in sketches by College Humor, MTV News, and Girl Code. He has produced shows: WildN Out, Guy Court, and MTV VMA. He has also studied improv at the Groundlings and the PIT. He can be found performing stand-up and improv around the NYC area. But really though, I usually can be found hanging outside of random comic book shops, screaming at kids for not buy Batman comics.
Hallie Haas
Hallie Haas
Hallie Haas is an comedian and actress living in Brooklyn, NY. She currently performs sketch at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre NY on Maude night with A Few Sandwich Lovers and was a writer/performer on the first two seasons of UCBT's Characters Welcome. Her one-woman show Masterpiece Classic: Women in Art is also currently running at UCBT Chelsea. Hallie can be seen in the feature Fort Tilden (SXSW Grand Jury Prize 2014 and in videos and commercials across the web. A thespian for 20 years, she has performed with Cleveland Public Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival Workshop, Forever Dog Productions and Story Pirates.
Steven Markow
Steven Markow
Steven Markow is a comedian, writer, and videomaker in Brooklyn, NY. His written work has appeared on The New Yorker, McSweeney's, Slackjaw, Thought Catalog, and The Tusk. He was the founder and host of New American Comedy, a comedy collective and monthly variety show that was listed in Paste Magazine's "Top 10 Alt Comedy Shows in NYC", and read at The Strand bookstore in NYC. His videos have been screened in gallery exhibitions curated by BHQFU and Nothing Space (Bushwick), as well as Union Hall's It's a Guy Thing and New American Comedy, Sunnyvale's Just a Show, and a showcase at The PIT.
Colin O’Brien
Colin O’Brien
Colin O'Brien is a writer/performer/producer living in Brooklyn, NY. In 2016 he was selected as one of the "New Faces of Comedy" at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. He can currently be seen performing bi-monthly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre Chelsea with his high-octane sketch comedy troupe O.S.F.U.G: The Fast Fuckin' Sketch Show. He can also be seen performing around NYC as part of the musical comedy duo Nancy whose show Home Is Where The Songs Is enjoyed a 7 month run at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre Chlesea in 2015. Michael Wolf
Michael Wolf
Michael Wolf is a comedian, writer, actor and filmmaker living New York City. He's currently a writer/producer at MTV where he show-runs “After Hours with Josh Horowitz”. He regularly performs at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, as part of the sketch group OSFUG: The Fast Fuckin’ Sketch Show and as half of the comedy music duo NANCY (SF Sketchfest), who some have said "saved rock and roll" -Anonymous. He's made videos for MTV, College Humor and Above Average. Michael is currently locked in the stairwell so if you could come let him out that would be awesome.
