the Grawlix
the Grawlix
The Grawlix began as a monthly live stand-up comedy show in Denver, rising from the ashes of the previous group Los Comicos Super Hilariosos. After some lineup and venue changes, the show found a solid home in the iconic Bug Theater; a beautiful, 150-seat slice of Denver history that dates back to 1912. The live show incorporates stand-up, video, as well as live sketches. Come check out the show and see who may drop in to tell jokes with them. THIS IS SO EXCITING!!!
Adam Cayton-Holland
Adam Cayton-Holland
Despite being born into a white, upper-middle class family, Adam has been able to overcome the numerous non-existent hurdles that have faced him to become by far the funniest comedian on his block. He is a national touring headliner who plays clubs and colleges all over the country. He was recently named one of 25 “Comics to Watch” by Esquire Magazine and made his late-night television debut on Conan.
He has appeared on ABC’s “Happy Endings” and was featured on the Nerdist podcast. Cayton-Holland has also performed at the Montreal Just For Laughs, SXSW, Bridgetown Comedy and Rooftop Comedy festivals, and his monthly show and web series “The Grawlix” is a critically-lauded darling child that you should know and love. The Grawlix crew recently filmed a pilot for Amazon Studios called “Those Who Can’t.”

Adam also has a podcast called, “My Dining Room Table,” available on iTunes. Boy howdy you should give it a listen!
Andrew Orvedahl
Andrew Orvedahl
Andrew Orvedahl is 1/3 of The Grawlix, and probably the best half. In the web series Andrew plays a character that Adam coined ‘The People’s Buffoon’: a childlike, easily-manipulated oaf who serves as both an emotional and physical punching bag for Adam and Ben’s anger.
Ben Roy
Ben Roy
Ben Roy is one of the fastest up-and-coming comics that the Denver scene has to offer. A native of Maine and now living in Colorado, he is poised to take the entertainment industry by storm with his unique blend of rant, sarcastic, observational, and high-energy humor.
Featured in the book ‘Mock Stars: Indie Comedy and the Dangerously Funny’, alongside comedy greats Patton Oswalt, Maria Bamford, and Fred Armisen, author John Wenzel described him as, ‘gloriously erratic, mixing Louis Black’s quivering indignation with Bill Hicks’ vitriol and David Cross’s unapologetic misanthropy.” The Onion A.V. Club said “he’s like a skinny, punk-rock Sam Kinison.”

He has been a finalist in several local and national competitions, was selected to perform at the Boston Comedy Festival, The Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, The Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival, the MTV Comedy Showcase, and The Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival. After his performances on the New Faces show he was invited to perform as part of the Best of the Fest.

In 2011 the Denver Post picked him as one of seven people in the Denver area as a pathmaker for the following year. 5280 Magazine, Colorado’s most widely distributed magazine, voted him 2011 Top of The Town in their personalities category. He is a regular headliner at the Denver Comedy Works, a husband, and a father.
