Low Times Live
Low Times Live
Low Times is a music podcast hosted by Tom Scharpling (The Best Show on WFMU), Daniel Ralston and Maggie Serota. Every episode of Low Times features in-depth discussions with performers and personalities in the music world. Our guests reveal hidden talents, unusual interests and talk about their lives on and off the road. Join the Low Times hosts for their first-ever New York Area live show. There will be stories, there will be laughs, and there will be very special guests.

NOTE: This is a podcast taping. All guests will be interviewed live on stage and not playing music.

TOM SCHARPLING is the host of the wildly popular radio show The Best Show on WFMU and one half of the comedy duo of Scharpling & Wurster. He is also a writer/producer, having written and executive produced the Emmy Award-winning show Monk for the entirety of its eight-year run. He is a founding member of the sportswriting collective The Classical. More: @scharpling

DANIEL RALSTON is a 34 year old person. He lives in Brooklyn, but misses Philadephia. He is the co-host, producer and editor of Low Times. His writing has appeared in The Village Voice, Esquire.com and he is a contributor to NPR’s Bullseye. He also dressed like Liam Gallagher for about two years without a shred of irony. MAGGIE SEROTA has written for The Onion AV Club, Radar, NY Press, Philadelphia Weekly and other print and web publications. She makes up a new fake urban legend every day at dailyurbanlegend.tumblr.com. She acts as the Content Editor for the Low Times website in addition to her co-hosting duties. She usually means well.
