Party Info

Union Hall is a great place to hold a large group gathering. Below you will find some general information about hosting a party here at Union Hall. If after reading the material you have any further questions or concerns, or you would like to go ahead and book a party, please feel free to contact us using the information below.

The basement room is primarily reserved for bands and organized events scheduled by our booking team, and will only be reserved for private use on a case by case basis and subject to the limited availability. Such possibilities include early-in-the-week bookings and weekend afternoons. Services and fees can be discussed with the Event Coordinator.

We do many parties in our main bar. What we can offer in the way of space is a reserved area (approx. 10’x30’) on the back raised platform which holds about 25-30 people. You and your guests will be guaranteed this space for a maximum of 3 hours. Even with parties larger than 30 people, this space is convenient as a base. Larger parties often use this space but spill into other parts of the bar. Although you might not be able to accommodate all of your guests, should you have more than 30 people, you can still have a space of your own while mingling amongst the rest of the bar. We have servers who can attend to your area and your guests are free to go to the bar, play bocce, and sit by the library and fireplaces. If you wish to have food, we have a catering menu featuring hors d’ oeuvres which are sent out on platters, buffet style, and will be set up in your area. We can accommodate open bar situations, sell you drink tickets, or run open tabs.

NEW GUIDELINES FOR RESERVATIONS:

In order to make a reservation, you must have at least 15 people, you must open a tab with the server, and the person who is booking the reservation must put down a credit card to hold.

There is a $10/hd minimum (food and/or booze), not including gratuity, in order to use the space.  The space can only be reserved for a maximum of three hours and a reservation can begin no later than 10pm on any given night.  The cash minimum will be determined at the time of the reservation and will be adjusted within a ½ hour grace period for more or less people that arrive than indicated when the reservation was made.

We will not reserve space for groups less than 15 people.  If at the time of the reservation (given a ½ hour grace period) the number of people is less than the minimum required to reserve the space, the reservation will be revoked and the space will be open to the public (i.e. you make a reservation for 25 and 14 show up).

PAYMENT:

We will add a 20% gratuity to the tab at the time that you wish to close your reservation.

The person booking the reservation will secure payment information from the group for which the space is reserved.  Any difference (i.e. the cash minimum was not met) will be charged to the card that is being held, unless another form of payment is discussed and settled with the server.

These guidelines are strict and we must adhere to them because of the large number of reservations received versus the amount of space we have to reserve.  In booking a reservation, you enter into agreement that these guidelines will be met.

Also on a case by case basis, we will rent out the entire bar for a special event. These requests can be discussed with an Event Coordinator.

We never reserve the bocce courts.

NOTE: Friday and Saturday nights are busy nights and we won’t be able to reserve space, cater, or allow open bars past 9pm (dependant on the size or your group). After 9 pm you are welcome to join us at your leisure, carve out a spot in the crowd, and enjoy yourself!

Please don’t hesitate to call or contact us with any questions or concerns.
