Add to Calendar
Intergalactic folk-pop sensations BCAT & CTOWN (Brittain Ashford and Caitlin Steitzer) may have fled certain destruction after their far-away planet was destroyed, but that doesn't mean they don't know how to throw one hell of a party! Join them, along with the Intern of the Universe and a few of their new friends, for some laughs, music, and a whole lotta glittery fun.
With special guests Katie Hartman, Alec Spiegelman, George Gordon, Megan Meadows, Lisa Kleinman & more!
KATIE HARTMAN is an actor, writer and comedian in NYC. She can be seen in High Maintenance (HBO), Younger (TV Land),Search Party (TBS) and in the Netflix film, "The Week Of." In 2018 Katie was selected as a New Face of Comedy for the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. She was a staff writer and performer on the WGA nominated Paid Off with Michael Torpey on truTV a regular correspondent/writer for Hearst Media's Seriously.tv. Her web series “Made to Order” was listed as one of "6 Brilliant Web Series" by Marie Claire.
Alec Spiegelman is a multi-instrumentalist/producer/songwriter in Brooklyn, NY.
He stays busy, as a member of Cuddle Magic (“the East Coast's coolest avant-pop group” - The New Yorker), as an in-demand woodwind player and arranger (on records by Okkervil River, Kevin Morby, Darlingside) and as a sympathetic collaborator with smart songwriters like Ana Egge, Jennifer Kimball, David Wax, Taylor Ashton, and Zoe Guigueno.
He keeps up with the news, not for fun, but out of a sense of civic duty. And while concerned about our country, he is cautiously optimistic about the resiliency of our democratic institutions.
You can expect songs about that, and girls, on his forthcoming debut solo album, and at his live solo performances.
George Peyton Gordon III (yes that is his real name) is a comedian from Dale City, VA, (or as he likes to call it, the great state of Virginia). He currently lives in New York City where you can see his stand-up almost every night, then argue with him about things like which is the better Weezer album—Pinkerton or Blue (definitely Pinkerton)—or why Alien is better than Aliens (because it just is). He has been in the New York Underground Festival, The Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, OR, The Out of Bounds Comedy Festival in Austin, TX, the audience award winner at Laugh Track Festival in Denver and his writing has been included in the blog Rock Bottom. He has an unhealthy obsession with using parentheses. His comedy record, Your Good Friend, debuted at number 1 on the comedy charts.
Megan Meadows is a comedian, writer and producer in Brooklyn by way of Virginia. She currently works as a Producer at Comedy Central, co-hosts the podcast Work It Out!, hosts Where Do You Get Off at Littlefield and is a freelance writer. Her writing has been featured in The Huffington Post, Newsweek, ChowHound, VH1, Reductress.com, Broadway.com and BroadwayBox.com. She’s been on/directed various sketch teams and performed for select festivals like San Francisco Sketch Fest, Toronto Sketch Festival, Austin Sketch Festival, Chicago Sketch Fest, etc. She proudly plays tons of moms/mad scientist cats with The Story Pirates in hilarious stories written by kids and is really into flavored cream cheeses and drag queens.
Lisa Kleinman is a comedian based out of Brooklyn. She is a regular performer at The UCB Theatre and a veteran performer of Maude Night. She has has been featured in some combination of writer/actor for MTV, E!, TruTv, Cosmo, Glamour, Comedy Central, Above Average, College Humor, and Funny Or Die. She is currently figuring out her place in this big wide world.
