The show was created in 2015 by real-life best friends Kim & Aliya (JASH, SF Sketchfest, Channel 101) and co-produced with Katherine Leon (NerdMelt, Starburns Ind., UCB). Kim & Aliya are writers, app developers, roommates, and friends. They started doing comedy together in 2014 and have since produced numerous podcasts and published an annual comedy magazine. They are two cool dudes. Based in Los Angeles, The Best Friends Show has had runs at the Nerdist Showroom, The Virgil, and Riot LA. Past performers include Bobby Moynihan, Reggie Watts, Kumail Nanjiani, Phoebe Robinson, Moshe Kasher, Beth Stelling, Kurt Braunohler, Emily Gordon, Jake & Amir, Cameron Esposito, BriTANick, Georgia Hardstark, Karen Kilgariff, and more!
