Book Club is a comedy variety show where hosts Colin Stokes and Blythe Roberson (The New Yorker, The Onion), along with some of NYC's best comedians, read the books so you don't have to.
Blythe Roberson
Blythe Roberson
Blythe Roberson is a writer and comedian who lives in Brooklyn. She is a contributor to The New Yorker, The Onion, and ClickHole and a staffer at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. She is currently writing a book, How To Date Men When You Hate Men, for Flatiron Books. Blythe is a member of the sketch group Lo-Fi NYC and hosts two variety shows at Union Hall: "The Scientists" and "Book Club."
Colin Stokes
Colin Stokes
Colin Stokes is the Associate Cartoon Editor at The New Yorker, and a contributor to The Onion. His work has appeared in those two places, as well as McSweeney’s, GQ, and an infinite number of others.
Nore Davis
Nore Davis
Nore Davis is a New York-based comedian who delivers an energetic performance filled with witty quips and sharp punch lines, combined with an amazing stage presence. He has appeared on Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer, HBO’s Last Week Tonight, MTV’s Nikki & Sara Live, Sasheer Zamata’s Play Time, The Artie Lange Show, HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and will appear in the upcoming feature Go/Don’t Go in 2019. His standup can be seen on Conan, and he has appeared in many videos on College Humor and was featured on WNYC 2’s Dope Queens Podcast with Phoebe Robinson & Jessica Williams. Davis also wrote on Seriously.tv and on Jessica Williams’ Comedy Central pilot. His self-produced Amazon special You Guys are Dope is out now, as well as his most recent album, Too Woke, which released November 2018 on Blonde Medicine.
Joe Zimmerman

Praised for an accessible style pairing absurdism with a wide-eyed, aw-shucks demeanor, 2013 was a big year for New York City-based comedian Joe Zimmerman. In addition to making his Comedy Central debut on John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show, he made his late night debut on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and was chosen as one of the acclaimed New Faces at Just For Laughs Montreal. Buzzfeed named him a top comic to watch, saying “…Joe’s calming vocalization and inventive writing is a thing of magic.” and “You’d be hard pressed to find a more enjoyable show.”

In 2014 he recorded a Half Hour Special which aired on Comedy Central July 25th, as well as being a featured performer on Season 8 of Last Comic Standing, where he drew praise from Roseanne & Russell Peters. 2014 also saw the release of his debut solo album, “Smiling at Wolves” which reached #2 on the i-Tunes comedy charts.

Joe is an original member of the Beards of Comedy, who toured from 2008-2012 and recorded two albums. Joe grew up in Morgantown, WV and graduated from Davidson College in 2005.

Rebecca O’Neal is a stand up comedian from Chicago where she hosted weekly shows at Laugh Factory and a comedy television show - Chicago’s One Night Stand Up on WCIU The U. She appeared in season 2 of Netflix’s Easy & has performed at Bridgetown and RIOT comedy festivals. In Chicago and around the Midwest, Rebecca has opened for Michael Che, Arsenio Hall, Maria Bamford, Hannibal Buress, Roy Wood Jr, Ron Funches, Janeane Garofalo, Sasheer Zamata, Michelle Wolf, Cameron Esposito, and more!
Jen Spyra
Jen Spyra
Hey Mom! My name is Jen, and I'm a staff writer on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and formerly a Senior Writer for The Onion, where I also headed the editorial video department as a writer, director and producer. Beyond The Onion, my humor writing has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Daily News, McSweeney’s, The Daily Beast and elsewhere.

As a comic, I've been featured on shows like Laugh Factory's Chicago's Best Standup Showcase, and I've performed improv on teams at iO Chicago, iO LA, and UCB.

I have an MFA in Dramatic Writing from Northwestern University ('12) and a BA in English from Columbia University (Barnard College '07).
