The BackFatlorette: Last Comic Standing Meets The Bachelorette
The BackFatlorette: Last Comic Standing Meets The Bachelorette
The Time Out Critics' Pick comedy outfit BackFat Variety moves to Union Hall for its annual live dating show, where four New York comedians compete in challenges to win an all-expenses paid date with a hand-picked Brooklyn bachelorette. It's Brooklyn's answer to dating shows—complete with succulents instead of roses—and it's the most fun you'll have watching love unfold in February. Created and hosted by Larry Mancini (of the band The Tracys) and Emily Winter (Glamour, Fusion, TV Land).

The four single comedian contestants are:
Rojo Perez (Conan)
Daniel Simonsen (Edinburgh Fringe Fest)
Raghav Mehta (Bridgetown Comedy Festival)
Albert Kirchner (Bridgetown Comedy Festival)

And meet our backfatlorette! Alissa is a Brooklyn-based reporter and podcaster who lives with her best friend, Peta the cat.
Emily Winter
Emily Winter
Emily Winter was raised in Chicago on cheese and fastpitch softball. She attended The University of Wisconsin-Madison and worked as a reporter for Madison's city newspaper before moving to New York to pursue comedy. Emily has written for TV Land, Fusion TV, Glamour, and is an NBC Late Night Writers Workshop script judge. She co-created WHAT A JOKE, a national anti-Drumpf comedy festival that raised more than $50K for the ACLU, and has performed standup at SF SketchFest, The Limestone Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival, and others. She runs two Time Out Critics' Pick comedy shows in Brooklyn, BackFat Variety and Side Ponytail.

A cast member on MTV's Decoded, Rojo was featured on Comedy Central's Funny 'Cause It's True, Time Out New York and Univision's FLAMA. This year he was selected as a Standup NBC finalist and has been a part of the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, New York Comedy Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, LA Riot Comedy Festival and Akumal Comedy Festival in Mexico.
