So, I have been writing and performing comedy since I was 11 years old. I did my first "professional" gig when I was 17. At that tender age I won the Glastonbury Festival Comedy competition and reached the semi final of "So you think you're funny" (There were far fewer comedians back then).
I was described by Bristol’s “Venue Magazine” as “sickeningly talented” and by Matt Lucas as “One of the best new acts I have ever seen”.

So, naturally, I promptly gave up stand-up for 52 dog years

In those 52 dog years I did however dedicate my life to writing Sketch Comedy - I wrote for BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 4 and for E4. In March 2008 I actually began Writing, Producing and Directing a series of 12 short comedy films which were completed in September 2011. (available to look at with your very eyes here - www.whyareyoudoingthistome.co.uk)

Due to a huge petition, and a number of large rallies in Thailand, I finally started stand-up again in September 2010 (I did make a few attempts in 2008 as well, but they lacked conviction). And I now run Angel Comedy - A Comedy Club in Islington that runs 7 nights a week. I also performs up and downs the worlds doing funny things for monies.

In 2013 I won the Malcom Hardee Award at the Edinburgh Festival and in 2014 won the "Spirit of the Fringe" award - also at the Edinburgh Festival.

Incidentally - I also have an MA in Creative writing and I am a qualified Deep Tissue Massage Therapist. Boo Ya.

Sometimes I sing silly songs. Sometimes I sing serious songs. One time I got a master's degree from Oxford in maritime archaeology. Now I play the kazoo.
