Comedic folk duo Friends Who Folk (Rachel Wenitsky and Ned Riseley) host an evening of musical comedy, folk, and friendship. Part concert, part variety show, part seance, Friends Who Folk & Friends invites audiences to explore the power of music - its ability to transform, heal, or just like, help you zone out and forget you have a body.

Comedy folk duo Friends Who Folk takes you on a journey through the magical, intricate and startling world of folk music.

RACHEL WENITSKY is a New York-based actor, writer and comedian. She is a writer and associate editor at Reductress, host of Reductress’s podcast Mouth Time and head writer of the Story Pirates podcast with Gimlet Media. She performs musical sketch comedy with Pop Roulette and is one half of the comedy folk duo Friends Who Folk. Recent theater credits include Song For a Future Generation and Big Bend In the Red Dirt Dessert, both at the Williamstown Theatre festival. TV/Film credits include The Good Fight and Elementary.

NED RISELEY is a Cloisters-based actor and writer. Most recently, he appeared on Broadway in the revival of John Guare’s Six Degrees of Separation. He has also performed at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, which is where he met his folk partner, Rachel. Their duo Friends Who Folk has been featured in The New Yorker, Splitsider and Glamour, and they perform regularly at venues like UCB, Club Cumming and Union Hall. He lives inside the Cloisters.
