Maddy Rojas (Readings / MC)
M Rojas is a third generation New Yorker, and lover of sound, pictures and words. At seven, it wrote its first published poem, Backwards World, a commentary on the absurd academic demands made on children in specialized New York City elementary schools. At eight it published its first novel. At nine, upon observing the absence of children’s art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, it curated its first art exhibition featuring young artists in its apartment building. Things have pretty much gone downhill from there, but it hopes to one day return to its former glory.
