Hosted by Shane Torres (Comedy Central's The Half Hour), Nate Fridson (AST Records) and Alison Zeidman (Adam Ruins Everything), Dark Spots is a stand-up comedy showcase where comedians tell jokes that'll make you cry so hard you laugh. Based in NYC, the show has been featured in the New York Comedy Festival (produced by Carolines on Broadway in association with Comedy Central), and has also been a critic’s pick in the New York Times, Time Out New York and Village Voice.

Alison Zeidman is a Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian and writer who got her start in Philadelphia and NYC. Alison has contributed humor writing to the New York Times, Time Out New York and Reductress, and currently writes for Adam Ruins Everything on truTV.
Shane Torres
Shane Torres
Shane Torres is a stand up comedian and writer. You may have seen him in the background on Last Comic Standing or acting on IFC’s Comedy Bang Bang. He has also been part of Montreal Just For Laugh’s New Faces in 2013 that same year. Shane was also one of Comedy Central’s Comics to Watch in 2012. Shane has performed at many festivals all over the country including Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival, and many more.

He is the creator of the podcast radio show Help Wanted . Shane has also contributed writing to Laughspin, The Portland Mercury, and Nailed Magazine.

Nate Fridson lives in Brooklyn but get this: he used to live in the midwest, in Michigan. Have you ever heard of such a thing? He's contributed to Comedy Central, is the cohost of the hit stand up showcase, "Dark Spots," and he's the co-creator of the sports humor blog, "Microwave Johnson." His album, "Best Guy So Far," is available on A Special Thing Records. He is currently a very nice boy.

Tim Dillon is a New York based comedian and writer. He has been featured in the Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival and the New York Comedy Festival, has performed on Gotham Comedy Live on AXS TV, and was recently one of the Top 100 finalists on Season 9 of Last Comic Standing. He co-hosts “Stewed: a comedy food podcast” with Mike Recine on Cave Comedy Radio. He is also regular on the hit comedy podcast Keith and the Girl and Fusion TV’s The Chris Gethard Show.

Hailing from New York City, Katie Hannigan has appeared on College Humor, Seeso, The Travel Channel, MTV and the Oxygen Network. In 2015 Katie wrote and produced The Comedienne Project with Corinne Fisher as part of FringeNyc and the show now runs monthly at The Standing Room. She is currently developing a man on the street game show with the History Channel. Recently Katie headlined Carolines on Broadway as part of their Breakout Artist Series.

Carmen Lagala began doing comedy in her hometown in the state of Vermont. She tours with "The Vermont Comedy Divas," and its charitable branch, "Divas Do Good," which performs to raise money for human-service non-profit organizations. She won the "Higher Ground Comedy Battle," was a finalist in "Vermont's Funniest Contest," and performed in the Boston's Women in Comedy Festival.
