*lineup may include straights if they are very, very funny and/or were raised by two moms.
Sophie Santos
Sophie Santos
Sophie Santos is a comedian and writer based in Brooklyn, NY. A semi-finalist for both the Fox Writers Lab and NBCU/UCBT Diversity Scholarship, she has written for MTV and Passport Control with Mehdi Barakchian, a pilot for BRIC TV. She performs regularly at UCB and has been seen at venues such as Club Cumming, The Duplex, The Bell House and Union Hall (most recently with the sold out run of Handmaid’s Tale: The Musical)
Jess Salomon
Jess Salomon
is a Canadian comedian who recently made the move to New York with her Muslim wife because she has excellent comedic timing. Since making the move, Jess was selected to be a 2017 StandUP NBC finalist and had her stand up featured on SiriusXM’s Raw Dog. She’s done lots of cool festivals in America like the Laughing Skull Festival, San Francisco Sketch Fest and the Boston Comedy Festival.

In Canada she’s been in Just for Laugh’s OFF JFL, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and on CBC’s “The Debaters”. Her stand up has aired on CBC Television and can be heard on SiriusXM’s “Canada Laughs” and CBC’s “LOL”.

Fun fact: before comedy Jess used to be a U.N. war crimes lawyer. The jury is still out on whether this was a good move

Other writing credits include Impractical Jokers (TruTV), Big Gay Sketch Show (Logo), Lady Gaga & The Muppets Holiday Spectacular (ABC), Ladylike (MTV) and Head Writer of White Guy Talk Show (Fuse). Her award-winning comedic short films have appeared on national television and at film festivals world wide. Jenny performs regularly at the UCB Theatre in NYC. She lives in Brooklyn, because she’s a lesbian mom, so that’s where she’s required to live by law.
DeAnne Smith
DeAnne Smith has performed all over the world, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Iceland Comedy Festival and Just for Laughs Montreal and Chicago to name a few. She’s also been on TV in four countries, including on Last Comic Standing NBC, The Late Late Show on CBS, Canada’s The Comedy Network and CBC, Australia’s Channel 10 and ABC, and UK’s Sky TV. The Montreal Gazette says DeAnne is “fresh, cutting…one of the finest wits in the country.” The UK’s Telegraph calls her “Smart. Very funny. Effortless charm lets her get away with murder.” She’s never actually murdered anyone.
