Book Club is a comedy variety show where hosts Colin Stokes and Blythe Roberson (The New Yorker, The Onion), along with some of NYC's best comedians, read the books so you don't have to.
Blythe Roberson
Blythe Roberson
Blythe Roberson is a writer and comedian who lives in Brooklyn. She is a contributor to The New Yorker, The Onion, and ClickHole and a staffer at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. She is currently writing a book, How To Date Men When You Hate Men, for Flatiron Books. Blythe is a member of the sketch group Lo-Fi NYC and hosts two variety shows at Union Hall: "The Scientists" and "Book Club."
Colin Stokes
Colin Stokes
Colin Stokes is the Associate Cartoon Editor at The New Yorker, and a contributor to The Onion. His work has appeared in those two places, as well as McSweeney’s, GQ, and an infinite number of others.
Ziwe Fumudoh
Ziwe Fumudoh
Ziwe Fumudoh is a writer at The Rundown with Robin Thede. She has a web series called Baited with Ziwe. Her jokes have been featured in The Onion, Above Average, and Reductress. Additionally, her tweets have appeared in Buzzfeed, CNN, Cosmopolitan, The Fader, NPR, NYMAG, and the New York Times.
Monica Heisey
Monica Heisey
Monica Heisey is a writer and comedian from Toronto. Her writing has been published in the New Yorker, the Guardian, Playboy, and many other print and online publications. She also writes for television, most recently on Baroness Von Sketch Show and Schitt's Creek. Her book, a humour collection called I Can't Believe It's Not Better, is out now.
Bob Vulfov
Bob Vulfov
Bob Vulfov is a Russian American comedian and writer who lives in Brooklyn, NY. He is a performer at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater in New York and can be seen on UCB's Harold Night. His comedy group Area 52 has won UCB’s Cage Match a very unlucky 13 times. He also performs monthly with his sketch group Lo-Fi NYC. As a writer, Bob has been featured in The New Yorker, McSweeney's, and Paste Magazine. Rolling Stone named him one of the 25 Funniest People on Twitter.
Will McPhail
Will McPhail
Will McPhail is a New Yorker cartoonist, writer and illustrator based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
