Tom Thakkar and Tommy McNamara talk about the bands that Pitchfork attacks and your friends make fun of. The comics have on guests who love a band that everyone seems to hate, and together they give that band a fair chance.

Tom Thakkar
Tom Thakkar is a comic living in New York City by way of Bloomington, IN. He is the son of a great lady and some Indian guy he never met. His personal, yet disarmingly silly style led to him winning the Bloomington Comedy Festival, held at the Comedy Attic in Bloomington, IN, and he’s been named one of the Best of the Midwest for Laugh Fest 2015 in Grand Rapids. He’s also been chosen to perform on the main stage at the Limestone Comedy Festival and Cincy Brew Haha Festival. Tom has been featured on Vice, NPR, and PBS, and recently he was named a “Comedian you should know” by Chicago Magazine.
Tom hosts the podcast, “Girls’ Night with Tom Thakkar”, which has gotten rave reviews from listeners all around the country, and it is consistently among the top 50 comedy podcasts on podomatic.com. He’s also been featured on The Todd Glass show and We Know Nothing with Nikki Glaser, Anya Marina, and Phil Hanley.

Tommy McNamara
Tommy McNamara is a New York comedian. He is a Sports Headline Contributor for the Onion and was recently featured on The Comedy Show Show on Seeso. Tommy has performed at respected comedy venues all over the country, including: The Improv in Los Angeles, UCB in both New York and LA, Knitting Factory, The Comedy Attic, Zanies, New York Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, Up Comedy Club, Second City, Laugh Factory Chicago (where he was a regular), and the Lincoln Lodge (where he was a cast member). Tommy has performed at San Francisco Sketchfest, Oddball Comedy Festival (Chicago winner of Funny Or Die's Road 2 Oddball Tour), Great American Comedy Festival, Devil Cup in NYC, the Crom Comedy Festival,the Comedy Exposition of Chicago, Thunderfest, and the 26th Annual Comedy Festival (AV Club/Onion). His show Tommy McNamara Unplugged sold out venues in both Chicago and New York. He misses you!

Liza Treyger
Liza Treyger is a New York based stand up comic by way of Chicago and raised in Skokie!!!! She has her own comedy Central half hour and album, Glittercheese. She's appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Chelsea Lately, @Midnight, This is Not Happening, Not Safe with Nikki Glaser, Horace & Pete, Adam Devine's House Party, and Lie Detectors.

She likes late 90s/early 2000's pop and soul music. She enjoys collaging, shopping, walking around NYC, private pools, chatting with friends and fighting with enemies, but mostly spending money, telling jokes, and giggling with girlfriends.

Josh Gondelman
Josh Gondelman is a writer and comedian who incubated in Boston before moving to New York City, where he currently lives and works as a writer for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Onstage, Josh charms audiences using his good-natured storytelling and cracks them up with his sharp, pointy wit. He takes topics from surprise parties to his experience teaching preschool and makes them all equally hilarious. This spring, he made his late night standup debut on Conan (TBS), and he can also be seen on the first season of Night Train With Wyatt Cenac (SeeSo). Josh’s newest comedy album Physical Whisper debuted in March at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts (as well as #4 on the Billboard comedy chart) and stayed there for…well…longer than he expected, honestly.

Praised for an accessible style pairing absurdism with a wide-eyed, aw-shucks demeanor, 2013 was a big year for New York City-based comedian Joe Zimmerman. In addition to making his Comedy Central debut on John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show, he made his late night debut on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and was chosen as one of the acclaimed New Faces at Just For Laughs Montreal. Buzzfeed named him a top comic to watch, saying “…Joe’s calming vocalization and inventive writing is a thing of magic.” and “You’d be hard pressed to find a more enjoyable show.”

In 2014 he recorded a Half Hour Special which aired on Comedy Central July 25th, as well as being a featured performer on Season 8 of Last Comic Standing, where he drew praise from Roseanne & Russell Peters. 2014 also saw the release of his debut solo album, “Smiling at Wolves” which reached #2 on the i-Tunes comedy charts.

Joe is an original member of the Beards of Comedy, who toured from 2008-2012 and recorded two albums. Joe grew up in Morgantown, WV and graduated from Davidson College in 2005.

Corinne Fisher is one of the funniest women in America. She's one half of "Sorry About Last Night...", her comedy duo with Krystyna Hutchinson. They host the smash hit anti slut-shaming podcast Guys We Fucked, with over half a million subscribers. She's only here for the vodka.
Rosebud Baker
Rosebud Baker is a standup comic and writer who has been featured on SiriusXM's Raw Dog Comedy Radio, SeriouslyTV, SeeSo, and Fox’s Red Eye w/ Tom Shilloue. Her acting has been featured on Discovery Channel and Sundance Channel, and in several independent feature films. She regularly performs live at New York Comedy Club, Stand-Up New York, Broadway Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club and is ranked in the Top 10 comics regularly performing on Roastmasters at The Stand Comedy Club in New York. In 2016, Rosebud was winner of the New York Comedy Competition at New York Comedy Club, and has opened for SNL's Colin Jost at Carolines On Broadway.

Hello, my name is Sean Patton. I’m a comedian based in Los Angeles and New York, by way of New Orleans. I began doing stand-up in the Crescent City and have since performed in comedy clubs across the US and Canada. I’ve performed at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, JFL Chicago, JFL Toronto, JFL Montreal (2008, 2010, 2012, 2016), Moontower Festival, RIOT LA, High Plains, Nashville Comedy Festival and will premiere my show NUMBER ONE this year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. I’ve performed on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Conan (2011, 2013) and my Comedy Central Half Hour was released in 2013. Additionally, I’ve appeared on @midnight (2014, 2015), The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, This Is Not Happening (2015,2016,2017), What’s Your F@#king Deal?! and Viceland’s Flophouse and Party Legends. Clark Jones is a humorist originally from the south side of Chicago. After moving East, he performed in the New York Comedy Festival opening for Hannibal Buress at Skirball Theater, the Brooklyn Comedy Festival, and currently hosts Comedy at the Knitting Factory every Sunday at 9, named a top weekly show by TimeOut NY. He was named one of the top comics to watch by the New York Observer, acted in Andy Samberg’s “Digital Shorts” for Saturday Night LIVE, and regularly films segments for the NY Posts “Internet Action Force”.

He works in clubs throughout New York City, serving laughs about everything from shopping to political debates, and credits solid napping as a key to happiness.

Kenny DeForest is a New York City-based comic best known as a producer and co-host of “Comedy at the Knitting Factory”, widely considered to be one of the best independently run comedy shows in the country, and is a regular presence on the New York City comedy scene at large.

He has appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, HBO's "Crashing", and TruTV's "Friends of the People." In 2017, he recorded his debut stand-up album "B.A.D. Dreams" with Comedy Dynamics, and in 2015 he was named one of Comedy Central’s “Comics to Watch."

He has performed in the New York Comedy Festival, Brooklyn Comedy Festival, High Plains Comedy Festival, Riot Fest LA, Chicago Comedy Exposition, Accidental Comedy Festival, Red Clay Comedy Festival, and his work has been highlighted in "The Observer", "Time Out New York", and "The New Yorker". Best of all, he has a great deal of fun performing and fun tends to be contagious. Come get some.
