Judah Friedlander
Stand-up comedy has been Judah's main thing since he first started in 1989. His onstage persona of The World Champion has taken on different shades over the years. It was initially a satire on narcissism & braggarts. Then the persona morphed into being a real life superhero (who is actually humble) subliminally getting audiences to question why we have heroes. For the past several years & currently, Judah's act has been predominantly satirizing American exceptionalism as well U.S. domestic and foreign policy. The World Champion is a champion of the world - who stands up for earth's rights and the people, animals, and plants of the planet. If America does the right thing, Judah will be the next president of the United States. Judah has a stand-up special & album coming out soon.

Brooklyn Magazine named Andy one of “Brooklyn’s Funniest People,” and Rooftopcomedy.com bestowed him the Silver Nail Award, given to the “top 8 up-and-coming comedians in the country.” Andy is also a decent cook and a pretty nice guy.

Things other people have said about Andy

-“It’s a testament to Sandford’s deep well of material that midway through the album, he’s telling stories that most comics would save for their closers” - The Spit Take

-“As long as his life does not end in sudden tragedy, I believe that Andy will be remembered forever, not only for his beard, but because he was one of the funniest comedians of our generation.” - Purge Magazine

-“It’s been said that the best comedy comes from pain. If that’s really the case, then somebody must have kicked the shit out of Andy Sandford…Sandford is a skillful linguist who carefully plays with pitch, tone and timing to spice up his jokes” - Creative Loafing Magazine
