Yourself, Your Body
Yourself, Your Body
Hosted by Arti Gollapudi & produced by Amanda Justice, Yourself Your Body is a comedic variety show discussing our hearts, farts, strange parts, and minds with an aim to dismantle social binaries & the beauty standards of mainstream media through sharing stories & reclaiming space. This show is dedicated to the weird, the beautiful, the gross, and, ultimately, the human.

"Censor the body and you censor breath and speech at the same time. Write yourself. Your body must be heard."
- Helene Cixous, The Laugh of the Medusa

Maya Deshmukh
Maya Deshmukh
Hailing from the great state of New Jersey, she is very happy to no longer be bridge and tunnel. Maya trained at the UCB and Magnet theaters, studying improv, musical improv, sketch, and characters with Bobby Moynihan, Sylvia Ozols, Becky Drysdale, Leslie Meisel, and Christian Capozzoli among others.

Maya recently won first place in the NBC/UCB diversity showcase doing characters.

She can be seen at UCB Chelsea performing on Maude night with her sketch team The Classic, as well as her all Asian musical sketch team- AzN PoP also running at UCB Chelsea.

Maya has been featured on Elite Daily, Nick Mom and Funny or Die, among others.

When she is not doing comedy, working, or catching up on Real Housewives (of all cities), she is probably getting yelled at. Maya also works part-time as a general dentist (not a joke.)
