Vulture Presents Presents Operation Varsity Blues LIVE!
Ruh Ro! Looks like a bunch of rich people got caught doing rich people stuff to make sure their kids stayed rich. Vulture hopes to immortalize the college admissions grift of our time, captured by the FBI’s Operation Varsity Blues, by having some of New York’s scammiest comedians including George Civeris, Mary Houlihan and Sam Taggart read from the court documents themselves. Rachel Handler, Vulture Staff Writer, will narrate the show while you enjoy shady bribery, parents dragging their own kids, and many strange photoshop mishaps.
Jesse David Fox
Jesse David Fox
Jesse David Fox is a writer living in Brooklyn, New York. He has worked at Vulture since 2012, first as an Associate Editor and currently as Senior Editor. There he has established himself as one of the foremost comedy journalists in these United States, with stories like his definitive piece on the modern comedy boom, “The 100 Jokes that Shaped Modern Comedy,” “Trump Is One of the Worst Things Ever to Happen to Comedy,” and his much debated essay about Post-Comedy. Over the years, he’s interviewed comedians like Amy Poehler, Sarah Silverman, Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, and Kevin Hart.

In early 2017, Fox created Good One, a podcast about jokes and the comedians who tell them. Now on the HeadGum network, past guests include: Jerry Seinfeld, Weird Al Yankovic, Patton Oswalt, Maria Bamford, Will Forte, John Mulaney, Paul Feig, Jim Gaffigan, Jimmy Fallon, Kristen Schaal, Wyatt Cenac, Phoebe Robinson, Bo Burnham, and Tig Notaro. He’s hosted live episodes of the show at SXSW, New York Comic-Con, Vulture Festival, and Montreal and Toronto Just for Laughs. It's good!
