Her-icane: All Women+ Stand Up Comedy for Disaster Relief
Her-icane: All Women+ Stand Up Comedy for Disaster Relief
Her-icane is a monthly showcase of all women+ comics to benefit disaster relief...because women are funny, and the planet is in crisis. Running since November 2017, the series has raised thousands of dollars for relief efforts for the hurricanes in Puerto Rico and the Carolinas and the California Wildfires.
The show is hosted by Kate Villa (MTV) and Jenny Gorelick (Jenny’s Birthday Show at Union Hall) and has been featured in the New York Times, amNY, Time Out New York, Bedford & Bowery, and the skint.

JENNY GORELICK is a comedy producer, performer, and birthday girl who the NYTimes thinks "is really onto something." She celebrates her birthday every month with her long-running variety show JENNY'S BIRTHDAY at Union Hall. In fact, she loves birthdays so much that she had a Sweet Sixteen on the Q Train in a viral video with Improv Everywhere that received 44M views. She was once called an "unassuming gal" by MTV, but we all know that was mistaken. In addition, she produces an all-female stand up comedy show to benefit relief for natural disasters called Her-icane that has raised thousands of dollars and was featured in the NYTimes. Taxi TV's Sandy Kenyon believes she is a "star of tomorrow," and now she can die happy.
